El Pico Comunismo - es la cima más alta en el territorio de la ex Unión Sovietica, hermosa y muy famosa, se ubica en el Pamir del noroeste. La cima fue descubierta en 1928, durante una Expedición científica soviética-alemana. Hasta 1962 se llamaba “El Pico de Stalin”, pero después fue nombrado “El Pico Comunismo”. Después de que Tadjikistán se hizo independiente, en 1999 fue dado otro nombre - “Pico Ismail Somoni”, en honor del primero fundador del gobierno de Tadyikistán.
